CALGARY ADULT CLASSES & WORKSHOPS
Colour On Fire Art Studio & School (COF) provides art education classes and workshops for adults. COF art classes and workshops offer the opportunity to learn and practise artistic techniques in a fun, supportive and social setting. Adults can attend these classes to improve their skills as an aspiring artist or just for fun. Participants will be exploring techniques and mediums while taking their own styles to the next level! The subject matter for all adult art education classes is the choice of the participant and every image is worthwhile!
The Managing Art Director teaches a majority of the art education classes kids – adults. All other art education instructors who teach art classes occasionally are personally trained by the Managing Art Director to get the best out of your child’s/your art -making experience.
"Good morning, Val, You were asking for some feedback on whether we are enjoying the art classes. And I can honestly say yes. I have done so many classes where a lot of time was spent on discussing materials and techniques and very little about art.
With the essentials supplied by you, the materials, a pleasant environment, nice people and a picture or two to use as a subject, takes a lot of time-consuming decisions away and lets us ‘do art’. It's taken me a bit of time to understand this.
You obviously are very successful at what you do and so many people have benefited from what you have provided for them. It really goes back to what an individual thinks about art. Why pursue it in the first place? It's hard and filled with mistakes and disappointment.
I heard something just today about what and why a person pursues art and I think it's true. Artists can see the world with an attitude of openness. This is how artists can appeal to people and why people will pay money, it's because they have a basic sense of what the world is all about. I'm not explaining it well, but it hits home with me. CALGARY ADULT WORKSHOPS
GLASS PAINTING - book your group a minimum of 6 participants
A $52.50 (includes tax) non refundable booking fee is required for the group.
COST $40.00 PER PERSON
This is a 60 minute workshop. No experience required. We will guide you through the process of creating a painted glass artwork, how to use paint and various art making tools to design and create an artwork that can be used in your home , as a gift or showcased as a piece of art. Our goal is to introduce you to the technical and artistic side of the glass medium including firing your own artwork after it is created.
Cost includes: all art supplies and materials, 60 minutes of instruction and lots of fun!
ACRYLIC OR WATERCOLOUR PAINTING - book your group a minimum of 6 participants
A $52.50 (includes tax) non refundable booking fee is required for the group.
COST $40.00 PER PERSON
This is a 60 minute workshop. No experience required. We will guide you through the painting process and show you different techniques to incorporate within your artwork.
Cost includes: all art supplies and materials, 60 minutes of instruction and lots of fun!
PAINT TIME OUT - book your group a minimum of 6 participants
A $52.50 (includes tax) non refundable booking fee is required for the group.
COST $45.00 PER PERSON
This is a 90 minute workshop. No experience required. Great for families, teambuilding or getting together with friends.
